Washing Instructions for SUUKSESS Clothing

May 26, 2022

SUUKSESS is one of the many clothing brands that you can find on Amazon. They sell a variety of items including bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, leggings, dresses, and more.

More About SUUKSESS

SUUKSESS is a relatively new company that started selling earlier this year. Despite that, they’ve already made themselves known with thousands of positive reviews on the site—their best-selling product being their bikini sets.

about SUUKSESS

That’s not too surprising, though, given their prices. Compared to other activewear brands, their products are much more affordable.

What Kind of Activewear Do They Sell?

SUUKSESS is perhaps best known for their swimsuits. As mentioned earlier, they offer both bikinis and one pieces, all of which are available in various designs. Aside from that, they also sell leggings. There are many styles to choose from as well. For example, there are seamless leggings, butt-lifting leggings, and honeycomb leggings.

It depends on the product, but you can expect to spend around $30-40 per item. And since it’s on Amazon, you also get two-day shipping with your order. Returns are also free if you change your mind at a later date.

Taking Care of SUUKSESS Leggings and Swimwear

Their activewear might not be ‘top of the line’ per se, but that doesn’t mean that it’s flimsy. If anything, it’s comparable to what you can get in stores. You just have to care for the item properly. That way, you’ll get your money’s worth. This means washing the garment after each use. You also want to be careful how you wash it—one wrong step in the laundry process and you can ruin your leggings or swimsuit for good!

Not sure how to do it? Don’t worry, we’ll be outlining the process in detail below. Keep reading to learn more!

What Materials Do They Use?

suuksess materials

SUUKSESS, like most activewear brands, uses synthetic materials for their clothes. Here’s a quick overview of the different fabrics.

Nylon

Nylon is known for its durability, elasticity, and abrasion resistance. Smooth and lightweight, it’s easy to care for and is an excellent choice for sportswear. As with most plastic-based materials, however, it’s sensitive to heat (ie. it can melt if exposed to extreme temperatures).

Spandex

Spandex is an elastic fiber that’s frequently used in form-firming garments such as swimsuits, undergarments, leggings, and other activewear. Unlike other materials, however, it can’t be woven alone; it has to be incorporated into other materials. For example, it’s often blended with cotton, nylon, or polyester.

Polyester

Polyester is incredibly strong in that it won’t tear or pill easily. It’s also moisture-resistant, which makes it suitable for jackets and other outerwear. Not only that, but it dries quickly as well. The only drawback is that it’s not very breathable. Not to mention that it’s temperature-sensitive.

The Best Way to Wash Your SUUKSESS Leggings and Biker Shorts

All of their leggings and biker shorts are made of a nylon-spandex blend, which you can safely put in the washing machine. Or if you want, you can wash them the old-fashioned way—by hand. We’ll be going over both methods in detail below.

Throwing Your SUUKSESS Leggings Into the Washer With Other Activewear

Some of their leggings have pockets. Make sure there’s nothing left inside before washing. While it’s not mandatory, it’s best to use a laundry bag. That way, your leggings will be protected from friction damage. And don’t forget to turn them inside out beforehand; that will expose the dirty layer to the soapy water so that they’ll get cleaned properly.

If you want, you can wash them with other activewear such as shorts, tank tops, sports bras, etc. Just make sure that they’re of similar colors. Place them in their own laundry bags and throw everything in the washer.

Next, add one scoop of ACTIVE detergent. You can add more if you’re washing an XL load. Avoid using bleach or fabric conditioners.

Active TM front

Tip: White vinegar is an excellent alternative to fabric conditioners. It’ll soften your leggings and get rid of smells as well. Simply pour one cup during the final rinse cycle.

Once the detergent is in, select your settings. For leggings and sportswear in general, it’s best to use a delicate cycle with cold water (hot water can damage the synthetic fibers). Allow the washer to run completely before retrieving your laundry. Don’t leave them in for too long, though, otherwise, the moist environment can breed bacteria.

Let the leggings air-dry on a drying rack or hanger. Don’t put them under direct sunlight; the ultraviolet rays can cause the colors to fade. Not to mention that it can deteriorate the fabric. And don’t tumble dry.

Washing Your SUUKSESS Leggings By Hand

Create a bath for your leggings. Fill a large sink with cold water and pour in half a scoop or so of ACTIVE detergent. Wait for the powder to dissolve before putting your pants in (remember to turn them inside out—that’ll facilitate the washing process). If you want, you can speed things up by swishing the water with your hands.

Tip: Stains can be removed with baking soda. Sprinkle a liberal amount on the spot and rub it in with your finger. Let the powder sit for at least half an hour before rinsing. Repeat until the stain is gone.

The leggings should be completely covered by the sudsy solution. Swirl them a few times and let them soak for up to 30 minutes. That will give the detergent time to work its magic.

Rinse them thoroughly after soaking. Hold them under cold, running water and wait for the water to run clear. Alternatively, you can rinse them in the sink (you’ll have to drain the dirty water and refill it with clean water). There shouldn’t be any soap suds left when you’re done.

Remove the excess water from the leggings by gently pressing on the fabric. Never twist the item—that’ll damage the elastic fibers. Once the water is out, hang them up to dry on a clothesline or put them on a drying rack. Remember not to use the dryer. And don’t leave them in the sun.

Note: Their biker shorts can be washed the same way as their leggings. If you want, you can even wash them together with other activewear.

How to Wash SUUKSESS Swimwear so That They’ll Last

how to wash suuksess swimwear

Swimsuits are delicate so you want to be careful how you wash them. Generally speaking, there are two ways that you can do it—you can either wash them by hand (recommended) or throw them in the washer with your other clothes.

Washing Your SUUKSESS Bikinis and One-Pieces By Hand

Rinse your swimsuit as soon as you take it off. Make sure to use cold water; hot water will damage the material. And if you can, give it a soak. That’ll remove any chemicals or body oils so that they won’t damage the item.

While it’s soaking, prepare the sink. Fill it with cool water so that it’s half full and add in half a scoop of ACTIVE detergent. Wait for the powder to fully dissolve; you should end up with a bubbly solution.

Tip: You can remove sunscreen stains with a bit of baking soda or vinegar. Apply it to the spot and let it sit for at least 15 minutes before rinsing with water. Repeat if necessary.

Turn the wet swimsuit inside out and place it in the sink so that it’s completely covered by the water. Give it a quick swirl and let it soak for up to 20 minutes. Don’t soak it for too long, otherwise, the colors can fade.

Rinse off the soap residue afterward. You can either do this in the sink or hold the swimsuit under the faucet. Continue to rinse until there are no more soap suds and the water runs clear.

rinse off the salt stains

Remove the excess water from the suit by gently pressing on the material. From there, lay it flat on a clean towel. Allow it to air dry. Never use the dryer for swimsuits. The heat will permanently damage the item. Also, you don’t want to hang it up on a hanger. The weight of the water can stretch out the fibers.

Throwing Your SUUKSESS Bikinis and One-Pieces Into the Washing Machine

Rinse your swimsuit with cold water before machine washing. If possible, soak it for about 20 minutes.

Turn the suit inside out after rinsing and place it in a mesh lingerie bag. That’ll keep it from getting caught on your other clothes (assuming that you’re washing a mixed load). Not only that, but it’ll also keep the pieces together if you’re washing a bikini.

Tip: Never throw your one piece or bikini directly into the machine without using a bag.

Zip up the bag and throw it in the washing machine. Put in the rest of your clothes  (you can wash the suits with other delicate items such as sports bras- just make sure that you’ve sorted them based on color). For those who are washing the swimsuits by themselves, add in a few towels. That’ll balance the weight, which will allow the washer to run smoother.

Add a scoop of ACTIVE detergent powder and choose a gentle wash cycle. Always use cold water. Hot water will be too harsh on your swimsuits.

Take your swimsuits out of the machine once it’s finished running. Lay it flat on a towel (or another clean surface) and allow it to air dry. Never throw your swimsuit in the dryer.
