I have no pet hair as I have two toy poodles I have adult hair. I used a lot of different products to get my washer clean i tried to use these cause they’re $13 doesn’t seem to do anything for the gasket and a week later this smell came back so I tried two tabs. since March. I’ve been doing one tab after the two tab run. The smell keeps coming back and stains on the clothes since they were in March Amazon won’t return it so I’m out about 25 bucks for a product that doesn’t really work continuously so I ordered a different product that’s supposedly do better. We’ll see this did not work. For me.

My machine had that sour smell even though I leave the door open. After one tablet, the odor was noticeably better. After two, it smelled clean again.

Honestly –
I ran one of these after washing cat blankets that had fur and a little accident smell on them. The washer came out smelling fresh and I felt much better using it for regular clothes after.

I wash dog stuff every week and the washer had started holding onto that smell. One tablet made it notciebly fresher and after the second cleaning it finally smelled normal again.
