Washing Machine Cleaner Instructions
Ensure Washing Machine is Empty
ACTIVE Washing Machine Cleaner should be used by itself in an empty washer.
Do not add clothing or other cleaning products.
Add 1 tablet directly into the washer drum
Remove the tablet from the wrapper and place it in the washer drum.
Do not put the tablet into the detergent dispenser tray.
Run the washing machine on Normal cycle with hot water
We recommend using hot water on “normal” mode to fully clean the machine. If your machine has an option for load size, select “large” or the highest available setting.
Or, for machines with a “clean washer” setting, use that mode.
After cycle is finished, use a towel to wipe the seal
For front load washers, some of the grime may accumulate in the door seal. Wipe it off after the clean cycle is finished.
Leave washer door open to air it out.
Usage Tips
- Washing machines with heavy residue may require multiple cleanings to loosen and remove all the grime.
- If odors still remain after the first cleaning, repeat instructions steps 1-4 above.
- For machines with heavy visible residue, it may be helpful to pre-wet and lightly scrub those areas before using ACTIVE Washing Machine Cleaner.
- For front load machines, we recommend leaving the washer door slightly open when not in use. Allowing some airflow helps prevent odors from forming in the washer drum.

The cleaning tablet should be placed directly into the washing machine drum. Do not put the tablet in the detergent dispenser tray.
We recommend running the washer on a “normal” wash with warm or hot water.

We recommend cleaning your washing machine every 2 weeks, or whenever musty odors are present.
