I was pretty skeptical about this stuff, but it actually works! Usually, my gym clothes would seem clean after the wash, but after I put them on, I could tell that they still smelled MUSTY within 10 minutes of sitting in class or into my workout. I have tried everything to get that “musty” smell out of my exercise clothes. I sweat…a LOT and work out 5-6 days a week at OTF, which those of you who do, understand how much you sweat during that one hour. tights and sports bras…gross. This detergent works well to wash out the odor/dirt. It does not irritate skin and it smells great! Definitely recommend this detergent for active clothes as well as any other clothes. I’ve starting using it with my clothes as well and I love the smell and clean feeling of it!

Washing your workout clothes isn’t the same as cleaning your everyday clothing. The former has unique properties that make traditional detergent a less-than-ideal choice.
In fact, using regular laundry soap can do more harm than good to your favorite yoga pants or running shirt. For one thing, these detergents often leave behind residue, which traps sweat and oils and causes those persistent unpleasant smells.

I use this product for my functionout clothes since my organic deodorants don’t handle sweat well. The package recommends 1 scoop, but I find that 4-5 scoops function better with my unscented detergent for a large load. For hand washing a couple of items, less is sufficient. This product, paired with my regular detergent, does a great job! However, the packaging could be improved; it sometimes spills powder when I think it’s closed.

very effective at removing odors from synthetic fibers, but be careful: it causes color bleeding. always separate darks and lights! i noticed my lighter clothes turning gray when washed with black athletic wear. a small test in a wash basin confirmed that colors ran immediately, regardless of the clothes’ age. exercise caution!

I practice yoga six days a week, which creates quite a bit of odor and results in a mountain of activewear to wash. This detergent eliminated both new and old smells from my garments and removed deodorant residue in just one wash. Initially doubtful about a fragrance-free option, I was pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness. I’ll continue using this brand for my workout clothes as they come out fresh and odor-free. I work out every day, often fitting in a morning session with a run or cycle, leading me to change clothes twice daily and discard 7-10 shirts a year due to odors. I had some second handed clothes over whelmed by a strong perfume scent, as if a whole bottle had spilled on them i tried everything vinegar, baking soda, soaking, sun exposure, OxiClean, borax but nothing worked. Just when I was ready to give up, I found a produc aimed at eliminating odors from synthetic fabrics and decided to try it. After a few washes with two scoops of this detergent, the smell vanished completely, leaving just the scent of fresh fabric. Additionally, my elderly Yorkie has been struggling with incontinence, and the urine odor was stubborn. Active Wear worked wonders, cleaning everything in just one wash. This detergent is the only one that has completely eliminated the odor from my husband’s running and rugby clothes. It also functions wonders on our young sons’ messy outfits. I always wash in hot water to ensure bacteria is removed, and this is the only detergent that truly eliminates bad odors. I will definitely buy it again and highly recommend it.
