Polyester

Polyester is strong, lightweight, and quick-drying. It’s also cheap to produce, which is why it’s often used for clothing, especially activewear. However, it does have one major drawback- it’s not very breathable and tends to trap sweat and odors on the skin. It also creates static electricity, especially when rubbed against another piece of synthetic fabric.

Nylon

Nylon is similar to polyester in that it’s lightweight and durable. Compared to the latter, however, it’s much more elastic. Because of this, it’s often used in swimwear, tights, and other form-fitting apparel. However, it’s sensitive to heat and can shrink or even deform if exposed to high temperatures.

Elastane

Elastane, which also goes by the name spandex, is a super stretchy fiber that’s often used to provide elasticity. While it’s resilient, however, it tends to retain odors. Two Ways to Wash Adanola Leggings – Machine Wash and Hand Wash

Adanola leggings and joggers can be washed in two ways- you can either put them in the machine with other clothes or you can handwash them in the sink.

Washing Machine Instructions for Adanola Leggings

Adanola leggings come with a pocket on the side. Make sure it’s empty before turning the pants inside out. Not only will that keep the outer layer from fading but it’ll also expose the sweaty layer to the detergent.

While you can place the leggings in the tub as is, we highly recommend putting them in a mesh laundry bag. If anything, it’s a great and easy way to extend their lifespan.

Put simply, it will act as a barrier and protect them from rubbing against your other clothes. Not only that but it’ll also prevent them from being thrown around inside the machine, which can cause the leggings to wear out prematurely. Just make sure to zip it up before putting the bag in the washer.

How to Wash Adanola Leggings By Hand

Make sure the side pocket is empty. Place the leggings aside and fill the sink with cool water. Measure a scoop of ACTIVE detergent powder and pour it in.

Turn the leggings inside out and lay them in the sink once the detergent is fully dissolved (you may have to swish the water a few times). Gently press the leggings down so they’re fully saturated with the soapy mixture.

Tip: You can hand-wash the leggings with one or two other items at the same time. Just make sure you’re not mixing colors and you’re good to go.

Rub the fabric to loosen any dirt and let the leggings soak for 10 to 15 minutes. You don’t want to let them sit in the sink for too long, otherwise, the dyes can bleed.

After soaking, hold the leggings under running water to rinse off the detergent. Continue for one to two minutes, until all of the soapy residue is washed off.

Transfer the leggings onto a clean towel. Using a second towel, press down on the leggings from the top to remove the excess moisture. Alternatively, you can press them against the side of the sink to get the extra water out.

Never twist your leggings, or any clothes for that matter, like a towel or rag. That will permanently stretch out and damage the material.

Once the excess moisture is out, you can let them air dry on a hanger or drying rack.

Best Ways to Wash Adanola Sports Bras

Adanola sports bras are made from a nylon and elastane blend and come with removable padding. While hand-washing is preferable, you can also put them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle.

Machine Washing Adanola Sports Bras Safely

Take out the removable padding and set them aside. As for the bra itself, you want to turn it inside out so that the inner layer is facing out; that will expose it to the detergent during the wash cycle.

Next, place the sports bra in a mesh laundry bag and zip it up. The bag will protect the bra from tangling or getting caught on other garments in the same load. Not only that but it’ll also prevent it from being tossed around, which will make it last longer.

Tip: You can place the removable padding in a small laundry bag and wash them in the same load or you can hand-wash them with detergent.

If you’re washing the sports bra with other delicates, make sure they all have their own laundry bags. And remember, you don’t want to mix light-colored items with dark-colored items.

Put everything inside the washing machine and add one scoop of ACTIVE detergent powder. Don’t use fabric conditioner; it’ll impair the fabric’s breathability. Not only that but it’ll also coat the bra with a waxy substance, which can trap sweat, oils, and dirt.

Run a cold washing cycle on a delicate/gentle setting. Don’t use the regular setting; there will be too much tumbling and that can damage the sports bras’ elastic fibers.

Open the washer door and take out the sports bra as soon as the washing cycle is finished. Don’t leave your wet bra inside the machine; the moist environment can breed bacteria and germs. Drape the bra over a drying rack and let it dry naturally, away from direct sunlight.

Do not dry at high temperatures- that includes using the dryer.

Hand-Washing Adanola Sports Bras

Start by preparing a bath for the sports bra. Fill a sink with cool water and add a small amount of ACTIVE detergent. Swish it a few times to dissolve the powder.

Take out the removable padding and place them in the sink. Do the same with the sports bra after turning it inside out. You want to lay it in the sink and press it down so that it’s completely immersed in the detergent mixture. Swirl it around in the water a few times and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes.

Massage the sports bra gently with your hands to get rid of any dirt or sweat. Next, rinse the detergent with fresh, clean water. We recommend holding the bra under the tap as that’s probably the easiest.

Once all the detergent has been washed off, gently press the excess moisture out of the bra and padding. Do not twist or wring the material.

Use a clean towel to press out some of the excess water. From there, hang dry on a rack or clothesline. Be careful, though, you don’t want to hang the bra by its straps as they can stretch out due to the weight of the water. Don’t dry the bra at high temperatures.
