Who says that you have to head to the store for clothes shopping? You can easily just shop online. Take Amazon, for example, they offer many brands, some of which you can only find out the site—Fengbay is one such example. One of the many third-party brands available, they’re able to take advantage of the FBA (Fulfilled By Amazon) system. That is, they don’t have to deal with shipping or packaging themselves, the web giant will do it for them! This also benefits the customer as they’ll get their order faster.
More About Fengbay
Fengbay is an Amazon brand that sells various types of leggings and yoga pants. Judging from their name, they’re probably based in China. That hasn’t stopped their products from becoming best-sellers, however. In fact, they’re one of the top-selling brands when it comes to yoga pants.
What Kinds of Pants Do They Sell?
They sell various types of yoga pants in their shop. For example, some are high-waisted while others feature tummy control. They also have bootcut pants as well for those who’re a fan of that look. One thing that’s worth mentioning as well is that all of their leggings and yoga pants come with pockets!
Now you might be wondering—why is such a small, unfamiliar brand so popular? The answer is price. That is, their yoga pants are much cheaper compared to those that you can get in stores…we’re talking about less than $10 per pair! There is some that cost a little more but even those are cheaper than store-bought leggings. Don’t forget, shipping is free as well if you order more than $25 worth.
Importance of Taking Care of Your Fengbay Leggings and Yoga Pants
Quality-wise, they might not be as durable as some of the name brands but for what you’re paying, you really can’t complain. Having said that, there are ways to prevent them from wearing down. For starters, it’s important that you wash them when necessary. Generally speaking, this means putting them in the washer after each wear. You don’t want to give sweat and body oils a chance to degrade the fabric—because they can!
Can’t get to a washing machine? At the very least, hang them somewhere so that you can air them out. You don’t want the fabric to remain moist as that will only attract bacteria.
Perhaps the most important point of all, however, is to wash them correctly. Don’t worry if you don’t know how as that’s what we’ll be going over in this post!
What Are Fengbay Yoga Pants Made Of?
Fengbay yoga pants and leggings are made from polyester and spandex. If anything, this blend is often used for these types of garments due to its softness and four-way stretch. Here’s what you need to know about the two textiles:
Polyester
Polyester fibers are strong and durable. At the same time, they’re flexible, which is one of the reasons why they’re often used for activewear. Moisture-wicking, the fabric will ensure that perspiration won’t stay on your skin. It’s also quick-drying, which means that it won’t take forever to dry after washing. As far as using it for yoga pants and leggings, it’s often blended with spandex for more stretch.
Spandex
Spandex goes by a couple of other names including Lycra and elastane. As you can probably know already, it’s super elastic. Aside from providing flexibility, it’ll also help the garment keep its shape, which is important especially for activewear. Resistant to wear and tear, its durability can be increased even further by blending it with other textiles such as polyester—which is the case with Fengbay products.
Two Ways To Wash Fengbay Yoga Pants
There are two ways to wash Fengbay yoga pants—either by hand or by using the washing machine. In any case, you want to try and wash them after each wear; you don’t want the sweat to remain on the fabric for longer than it has to.
Method 1: Putting Your Fengbay Yoga Pants in the Washing Machine
As with most yoga pants, these are machine washable—it even says so on the tag. Having said that, there are a few things that you want to be careful with. Follow the steps below and you’ll be able to clean them safely and efficiently!
1.) Flip the yoga pants so that the outer surface is on the inside—that will prevent it from wearing down. Not only that, but the inner layer will also be exposed to more soap.
2.) Protect the yoga pants by putting them in a mesh laundry bag. It only takes a few seconds but the benefit is huge. They won’t be tossed around or exposed to friction damage.
3.) Close the mesh bag (e.g. zipper, drawstring, etc) and put it into the washing machine with the rest of your clothes. Note- You can wash their yoga pants with other dark-colored items as long as they do not contain any hardware that can cause snagging.
4.) Add one scoop of ACTIVE detergent to the drawer or drum. It’s perfectly fine to adjust the amount as well—it all depends on how many garments you’re washing. Just don’t overdo it, otherwise, you might end up with leftover detergent.
5.) Choose a gentle, cold water cycle using the dials on your washer. Hot water should always be avoided due to the possibility of it damaging the fibers.
6.) Press the start button and let the wash cycle run. Only take your yoga pants out once it’s finished. Remove them from the laundry bag so that they can be air-dried. It’s crucial that you don’t use the dryer.
Method 2: Manually Washing Fengbay Yoga Pants By Hand
The main benefit of hand washing is that it’s more gentle on the item. It’s pretty straightforward as well since all you need is a sink, water, and detergent.
1.) Turn the garment inside out so that the outer layer will be left intact.
2. Put the yoga pants aside so that you can prepare the sink. Fill it with water but not too much so that the water will come out when you’re swishing and washing later.
3.) Add a scoop of ACTIVE detergent into the water. The key is to make sure that it’s fully dissolved before dunking your yoga pants in. You can do this by agitating the water and detergent with your hands.
4.) Put your yoga pants in once you’re confident that the detergent has dissolved. It should be easy to tell as there will be lots of bubbles.
5.) Press down on the item if it’s floating up toward the surface. You want it to “sink” so that it will be saturated with the detergent in the water. Feel free to give it a few swishes as well.
6) Let the yoga pants sit in the sink so that they can soak. Generally speaking, 20 or so minutes should be enough for the detergent to remove all the gunk from the fabric.
7) Turn on the tap so that you can rinse the pants with clean water. Continue rinsing until there are no more signs of detergent. You might have to squeeze the garment a few times to get out all of the soap but make sure not to wring it.
8) Use a towel to pat out the excess water. Rolling it up can also do the trick. Once the pants aren’t dripping anymore, you can let them air dry on a clothesline. Remember, the dryer is off limits for reasons that we’ve stated earlier.
How to Remove Stains from Fengbay Leggings
It’s not uncommon for certain things to leave stains on dark fabric. Despite how visible they may be, however, they’re generally fairly easy to remove. All you need is some water and soap…and maybe a brush of some sort! Here’s an overview of the steps:
1.) Mix together water and ACTIVE detergent in a small bowl or container. You don’t need too much as you’ll only be using it on the stained spot.
2. Wet a soft brush such as an old toothbrush with the mixture and proceed to scrub the problem spot. Use circular motions from the outside to the inside—you don’t want the stain to spread further. Try to be as gentle as you can with the scrubbing.
3. Rinse the soap out of the spot with water (you can just hold the area under running water). Check to see if the stain is still present. If so, you might have to repeat the above step again. Continue until it’s gone.
The Best Laundry Detergent For Fengbay Yoga Pants and Leggings
You may be tempted to just use the detergent that you have lying around but the truth is—it won’t be enough to really clean the yoga pants. Ultimately, this has to do with what its ingredients. Assuming that it’s a standard bottle of detergent, it won’t be able to penetrate deep into the polyester/spandex mix to work out the gunk.
For that, you need something like ACTIVE detergent. You can probably guess by its name, but it’s engineered specifically for workout clothes such as yoga pants and leggings. How is it different from traditional detergents? It contains special ingredients (ie. enzymes) that are able to get the sweat, bacteria, dirt, etc, out of the fabric—or more accurately, it dissolves them. What you’re left with is a clean pair of pants.
To top it all off, the ACTIVE detergent formula is all-natural. Made from plant-based chemicals, it does not contain any harmful chemicals that might irritate your skin. On top of that, it won’t hurt the environment either so why not give it a try and see how you like it?
