Replace the drain cap after the water has drained.

Allow time for ice to melt off the evaporator grid.

Pour 2-4oz of ice machine cleaning solution OR 1 ice machine cleaner tablet into the water pan.
Fill the water pan to the max fill line with clean water to dilute the formula. If using a tablet, allow it to fully dissolve before proceeding to the next step.

Activate the machine’s clean cycle.
Once the water trough has filled, add 4oz of ACTIVE Ice Machine Cleaner solution OR 1 ACTIVE Ice Machine Cleaner tablet.
Residential Ice Machines
Activate the cleaning cycle on the machine.
After the cleaning cycle is complete, drain any remaining water from the drain pan.
Run one more cleaning cycle.
Commercial Ice Machines
After the first cleaning cycle is complete, run a second cleaning cycle to remove any remaining residue and debris.

Wipe the inside of the ice bin to remove water and loose debris.
Your machine is now ready to resume ice production.

The instructions for this product were unclear. I know it’s just citrus acid and safe to ingest, but I need guidance on cleaning ice machines. I emptied the ice bin and reservoir, replaced the drain plug, poured about a third of the bottle into the water filler port, and filled the reservoir with water. After setting it to cleaning mode, I let it cycle several times. I then drained the cleaning water, cleaned the drain hole with a straw brush, replaced the plug, and filled the reservoir with fresh water. I ran the clean cycle again, emptied the reservoir, added more water, and tried making ice. The ice is clearer and better tasting, but I still have issues: the cascade tray has a dead spot, and water drips from the feeder above the forming grid. I’m using the residential Ecosy ice maker – Zinny
