I’ve tried several descaling solutions from Amazon, and nothing compares to this one It smells like something used to soak greasy rags in a garage, not for a high-end coffee machine. It left a terrble taste and odor in my machine for weeks. save yourself the trouble and keep looking or stick with your previous product

i should have checked the 1-star reviews before buying this. i followed the directions and cleaned it with 4 oz, then added water. the odor was terrible, forcing me to open all the windows. the instructions recommend one water-only brew to “flush,” but i ended up doing about 20 and several additional clean cycles. the smell still lingers! the water from the latest brew tastes like cleaner. i’m concerned about the tomadol 91-8, which is toxic. my throat is sore, and i’ve felt nauseous all afternoon. i don’t think i ingested enough to be seriously harmed, but i wont use my coffee maker again. this 9-month-old oxo 8-cup coffee maker cost nearly $200, and i feel like i’ve ruined it!

Utilized this to clean my Ninja coffee bar. It emitted an unpleasant chemical odor. I did five flushes, which improved it somewhat. Soaking the water reservoir in hot water was necessary to eliminate the smell. Brewed a few cups afterward, but the taste and scent were still off. Contacted the vendor, and their customer service was excellent.

I chose this product as a budget-friendly alternative to the Keurig descaling solution for my Keurig Supreme Plus. Even though my descal light wasn’t on, I added 4 oz to a full tank of water and ran the solution through the machine. It initially cleaned well, but then I encountered a persistent chemical smell and aftertaste. Despite rinsing multiple times with clean water and running a vinegar mixture, my coffee was still undrinkable, ruining my Blue Mountain coffee. Frustrated, I contacted customer service and bought a new Keurig, thinking the first one was damaged butThe next day, Jess from customer service advised me to mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a tank of water, brew cup by cup, and flush with clean water. I tried it, and it worked! Although there was a faint hint of the solution left, the water was odorless and tasteless after I repeated the process with 2 teaspoons of baking soda. I learned that small amounts of the solution can linger in the tubing, but baking soda neutralizes any smell. The company issued a full credit and apologized for the issue, which they should address in the instructions for users. While the product worked, the troubleshooting was a hassle, but their exceptional customer service made it easier. Now I have an extra machine I’m enjoying, maybe I should sell it

We descaled a 12-cup coffee maker and a Keurig, but I’m unsure if it worked. Both machines still have a lingering taste and smell of the descaling solution. After running two full pots of water through the coffee maker and using it for a week, the coffee still tastes off. The Keurig, descaled recently, also has an undesirable flavor despite two water cycles. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

i followed the instructions carefully. while using the cleaner, i didn’t see any ‘dirty water’ from the machine and thought it was clean, despite not being descaled in years. i even did extra rinse cycles. this morning, i hoped for a better coffee experience, but it was terribleoverwhelmingly chemical-tasting and inedible! after checking one-star reviews, i see i’m not alone; many others are disappointed and replacing their machines. i rarely write negative reviews, but today is an exception. i tried cleaning my machine after seeing great products on amazon. never again. what a disastrous start to my day! amazon, expect a return!
