Avoid this ‘descaler’ at all costs; it ruined the flavor of my coffee. I own a Nespresso Vertuo Plus, and this product has forced me to replace my machine. The company behind this should compensate me for a new machine and discontinue this product altogether.

I was eager to test this product since I’ve had positive experiences with Active deep cleaning solutions in my dishwasher and washing machine. Unfortunately, the chemical odor of this descaler is overwhelming. It requires numerous rinses to eliminate the smell from the coffee maker, and I had to thoroughly clean the water reservoir. I’m not comfortable using this product in my machine again. I cannot recommend it.

I’ve been a loyal user for years, but I’m frustrated that the new label no longer includes the ounce guide for using 4 ounces for cleaning. I relied on that guide to avoid using a measuring cup. Now I have to measure and wash an extra item. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars. I hope they reconsider and add it back.

This is the dirtiest my coffee maker has ever been! After just one cycle with this cleaner, it came out sparkling. The smell is strong, but it works well. I followed up with two cycles of clean water until the carafe was clear. I liked it despite the odor. Update: Unfortunately, this product damaged the heating plate, and now my coffee tastes terrible. I’m returning it and downgrading my rating from 3 stars to 1.

I followed the instructions carefully. I ran fresh water through my machine more than ten times and even tried a vinegar solution. Unfortunately, the flavor and odor of this descaler linger in my coffee. Purchase only if you’re okay with your coffee tasting and smelling like this product.
