Yes, our RV holding tank treatment is safe! It contains non-pathogenic bacteria that’s created here in the United States.

The amount of treatment needed is based of the size of the holding tank. Here is our recommended ratio for the holding tank treatment:

2oz ACTIVE RV Holding Tank Treatment = 40 gallon holding tank size

For larger tanks, increase treatment amount as needed (3oz for 60 gallon tanks, etc).

The holding tank treatment works best when added to an empty holding tank. Then the treatment is able to mix with the the waste as it enters the tank.

Technically you can add the digester treatment to the holding tank any time – it’s just most effective when added to an empty tank. That way, the treatment is able to mix with waste as it comes into the tank.

ACTIVE RV Holding Tank Digester Treatment will not clean or sterilize the tank. It is only formulated to treat waste inside of the holding tank.
