Ewedoos is one of the many brands that you can find on Amazon. From the looks of it, they specialize in various sportswear. Aside from leggings, they also sell yoga mats, sports bras, sweatbands, and shorts, all of which are available from their online shop.
More About Ewedoos
As with most Amazon brands, not much is known about Ewedoos. If anything, the only thing that we know is that their products are only available through the site—that and the fact that they’ve been selling on the site since 2017 so they’re not exactly new to the game. Out of all of their items their yoga pants and leggings are the most popular, both with thousands of customer reviews, most of which are four or five-stars.
What Kind of Leggings Do They Sell?
Ewedoos sells leggings that are designed for yoga and other workouts. Not only are they available in a variety of sizes, but there are also many colors to choose from—more than a dozen to be exact! What’s more, is that they all come with pockets. In other words, you’ll have a place to put your phone and other essential items.
They’re extremely budget-friendly too. You’re looking at around $18 to $21 for a pair, which is considerably cheaper than what you can get from most athletic stores. Don’t forget, that includes shipping as well. Even if it doesn’t fit or you end up changing your mind, you can send it back for free.
Taking Care of Your Ewedoos Yoga Pants
Despite being cheaper, their quality is comparable to store-bought leggings and yoga pants. With that said, the fabric can break down over time with regular wear. Don’t worry, though. There are ways to extend their lifespan! Here are a couple of tips:
1. Make an effort to wash the yoga pants as soon as possible after getting home. Don’t let the sweat stay on the fabric as it’ll attract unwanted bacteria.
2. Air them out if you’re unable to wash them right away—that way, they won’t remain moist with your sweat.
Perhaps the most important of all, however, is to follow the right washing instructions. As with all clothes, the legging can easily be ruined if you wash them the wrong way. That’s right, there’s actually a proper way to do it and that’s what we’ll be focusing on in this post. Keep reading to find out how to wash Ewedoos leggings!
What Are Ewedoos Leggings and Yoga Pants Made Of?
Ewedoos leggings are made of 75% polyester and 25% spandex—a common blend for these types of clothes. Why are these fabrics chosen in particular? Let’s have a look:
Polyester
Polyester is not a natural fiber—it’s manmade. Strong and resilient, it’s commonly used for clothing such as jackets and other types of activewear. Not only is it water-resistant, but it’s also moisture-wicking. In other words, it has the ability to pull moisture aka sweat away from the skin. In doing so, it’ll be able to evaporate easier, which means that you’ll remain dry while working out.
While polyester is sometimes used by itself for clothing (100% polyester items aren’t that uncommon), it’s more often than not mixed with other fibers such as spandex.
Spandex
You might know spandex as Lycra or elastane. At the end of the day, all the names refer to the same thing—an elastic material that’s used for various types of activewear. Aside from providing stretch, it also supports the garments so that it won’t lose its shape. Interestingly enough, however, it’s never used by itself—that is, you won’t find items that are 100% spandex. It’s always combined with something else like polyester or cotton.
By using the two fabrics, their yoga pants will be both durable and stretchy. In fact, they might be more durable than those of other brands due to its higher polyester content (most contain <75% polyester).
Washing Instructions for Ewedoos Leggings
In general, there are two ways to wash your Ewedoos leggings, both of which are just as effective—that is, you can either use the washing machine or wash them in the sink by hand. We’ll be outlining the two methods step-by-step below. Follow along and they’ll be clean in no time!
Method 1: Washing Your Ewedoos Leggings With the Washing Machine
Synthetic fabrics are all machine washable so it’s perfectly fine to put these leggings in the washer. As with all sportswear, you want to begin by turning them inside out—that’ll keep them looking new for longer. Why? The inside will take most of the abuse instead of the outside layer. Feel free to wash the pants with other garments if they’re of similar colors (i.e. lights with lights, darks with darks).
If you can, use a laundry bag—it’ll make a big difference in the long run in terms of how your leggings will look. Basically, it’ll act as a barrier to protect them from the rest of your laundry load. Simply put it in the bag and seal it. From there, you can toss inside the washer as normal.
Pro-tip: Consider soaking the leggings first with water and detergent if they’re excessively dirty. White vinegar can also be added to neutralize any odors.
The next step is to add some ACTIVE detergent. Unless you’re washing a lot of clothes at once, one scoop of the powder should be enough. In fact, you don’t want to add too much as you might not be able to wash all of it away. If that happens, the detergent that’s leftover on the fabric can irritate your skin.
Wash the load with cold water. It’s important that you don’t use a regular cycle, but a delicate cycle. Do not use fabric conditioner. It might seem like a good idea to soften the leggings, but in reality, they’ll ruin the sweat-wicking finish. A better alternative is white vinegar—just add one cup to the cycle.
Line-dry the leggings once they’re done washing. Both polyester and spandex are quick-drying so you shouldn’t have to wait long. Do not expose them to direct heat by using the clothes dryer.
Method 2: Hand Washing Your Ewedoos Leggings
Hand washing your leggings has one major advantage—that is, it’s much gentler on the garment. After all, there’s no tossing or tumbling. It might be a tad more tedious in that you have to do everything manually, but it’s not that hard once you get the hang of it!
Step one—fill the bathroom sink with lukewarm water. Dissolve one scoop of ACTIVE detergent by swishing the water with your hand. Feel free to use more or less depending on how many pairs of yoga pants you’re washing. Keep mixing until you see lots of soap bubbles.
Carefully dunk your leggings in the sink. Press down on them if they float to the top; you want to submerge them in the water. From there, scrub them gently by rubbing the material against itself. Pay extra attention to the crotch area. Soak the yoga pants for 15-20 minutes after scrubbing. It’s important that you don’t skip this step as you want to give the detergent time to work.
Drain the dirty water from the sink. Proceed to rinse the yoga pants under running water to get out all the detergent—it should eventually run clear. You may have to press out some of the soap by using your hands. Make sure that you don’t wring the garment as it can compromise the material.
Finally, allow them to dry by laying them flat or hanging them up.
How to Get Stains Out of Ewedoos Leggings
The easiest way to get stains out of their yoga pants is to scrub with some soap. Don’t add the detergent directly onto the fabric, though. You want to mix it with water first, preferably in a bowl. From there, you can use an old toothbrush to apply it to the leggings.
Make sure that the bristles are saturated with the detergent solution and scrub with circular motions. Always work from the outside of the stain to the inside to prevent it from spreading further on your leggings.
Rinse the detergent off by holding the stained area under running water. Continue until the water runs clear and check the spot. Repeat the steps again if you feel that the stain is still visible. If it’s gone, you can proceed to wash the item.
Best Laundry Detergent For Ewedoos Yoga Pants
The average detergent won’t be enough to clean your leggings. After all, they’re not meant for synthetic fabrics such as polyester and spandex—they’re made more for cotton and other natural fibers.
What you want to use instead is ACTIVE detergent. As implied by its name, it’s created for activewear. Unlike traditional detergents, it’s actually capable of dissolving gunk that’s embedded deep in the polyester and spandex fibers. Ultimately, this has to do with its enzyme content—that is, it contains three types of enzymes, all of which are capable of breaking down sweat and bacteria.
As if that wasn’t great enough, the ACTIVE detergent formula is also all-natural. In other words, you won’t be exposing yourself to any chemicals by using it. Hypoallergenic, it’ll also be better for your skin.
