Phisockat is an apparel brand that you can find on Amazon. From the looks of it, they seem to specialize in yoga pants (that’s all that’s available in their store). As far as we can tell, they do not offer any other types of clothing, at least not right now.
More About Phisockat
Chances are, you’ve never heard of the brand before and that’s not too surprising given that they’re relatively small. For one thing, they only sell on Amazon. Despite that, however, they seem to be fairly successful as they’ve already sold thousands of pairs of leggings on the site. What’s more, is that they have many positive reviews.
What Kind of Yoga Pants Do They Sell?
Phisockat is currently selling two types of leggings. Design-wise, they’re both very similar. For one thing, they both come with pockets and a thick waistband for tummy control. The only difference is that one is capris and the other is full-length.
As with most Amazon brands, their yoga pants are much cheaper than the average ones that you can get from stores. While it depends on what you’re getting, they can be as cheap as $15 per pair and that comes with free shipping as long as you meet the minimum amount ($25).
Note: Phisockat does offer a money guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with the product, you can send it back for a full refund without questions. The only requirement is that you have to do so within 30 days.
Taking Care of Your Phisockat Yoga Pants
For the amount that you pay, the quality of their leggings is quite decent. They might not be comparable to those of name-brands but they’re pretty darn close. If anything, you just want to make sure that you’re taking care of the fabric. In other words, you want to:
1. Don’t leave them in a bag or in the trunk of your car (you might be tempted to just toss them in after working out)
2. Always wash them as soon as possible, the quicker the better. If you can’t do that, at least air them out
Above all that, however, you want to wash them the right way. Put it simply, you don’t want to ruin them while you’re doing the laundry—trust me, it happens more than you think. Not sure what the “right” way is? Well, that’s why we’re here! We’ll be going over how to wash Phisockat yoga pants in detail below so be sure to follow along. Before that, though, there’s just one more thing that we have to go over…
What Are Phisockat Leggings Made Of?
Phisockat yoga pants are made from two types of fibers—polyester and spandex. More specifically, 77% polyester and 23% spandex. If anything, the two are often used together for activewear, especially leggings. Anyway, here’s what you need to know about the textiles:
Polyester
Polyester is a synthetic material that’s known for being strong and resilient. For this reason, it’s often used for outerwear and activewear. Aside from its durability, it’s also resistant to most things including water. Plus, it has a moisture-wicking finish; this ensures that sweat won’t stick to your skin after a workout.
Blended with spandex, it has more flexibility than plain polyester. This is one of the reasons why the combination is often used for leggings and yoga pants.
Spandex
Spandex has two other names—elastane and Lycra. Invented in the 1950s, it’s known for its superior elasticity, which makes it ideal for certain types of skin-tight garments such as leggings and leotards. Unlike polyester, though, spandex is almost always combined with another type of fiber; it’s never used by itself for clothing.
Blended with polyester, it’s much stronger than your average textile.
Two Easy Ways That You Can Wash Your Phisockat Yoga Pants
In general, there are two ways that you can wash your Phisockat yoga pants—or any yoga pants, for that matter. Depending on what you’re used to, you may find one method to be easier than the other. Without further adieu, let’s get to the instructions:
Method 1: Using the Washing Machine For Your Phisockat Leggings
It’s safe to put their yoga pants in the washer. After all, both polyester and spandex are machine washable. Having said that, you don’t want to throw them in blindly. Start by turning the bottoms inside out aka you want the inner layer to be on the outside—that will protect the surface so that it won’t wear out as fast.
While it’s not mandatory, it’s highly recommended that you put your Phisockat yoga pants in a laundry bag. For those who don’t know, they’re mesh bags that allow you to wash your clothes with an extra layer of protection. Make sure that the bag is completely sealed and put it into the washer with your other clothes (mixed load is fine as long as you’ve separated lights and darks).
Pro-tip: You can always pre-soak your leggings before putting them in the washing machine. Simply submerge them in a sink of water and detergent. You can also add white vinegar to neutralize any smells.
Once your clothes are in the machine, add one scoop of ACTIVE detergent. Don’t hesitate to use more if you’re doing more laundry than normal. Having said that, it’s not a good idea to overdo the detergent as the washer might not be able to rinse it all off during the cycle. If that happens, the remnants on the fabric can irritate your skin.
Proceed to wash everything with a cold, gentle cycle. Avoid the urge to use fabric softener. If you must soften your yoga pants, use white vinegar instead—it’s an all-natural alternative that won’t harm the polyester-spandex material. Generally speaking, one cup will suffice.
Line-dry the yoga pants after the wash cycle. It’s best not to put them under direct sunlight as the dyes can fade; the heat can also damage the fibers over time. Also, do not use the clothes dryer.
Method 2: Washing Your Phisockat Yoga Pants By Hand
You’ve probably heard this before but hand washing is much better for your clothes. The item won’t be tossed around nor will it come into contact with other garments. In other words, your leggings will last longer—at least, they should.
Start by bringing your yoga pants to a sink. Fill the latter with lukewarm water and proceed to create a soapy solution by dissolving one scoop of ACTIVE detergent. Swishing the water with your hand will help the powder to dissolve faster.
Put your yoga pants in the sink—you want them to be submerged in the detergent water. If they float up to the surface, gently press them down. From there, you can wash the fabric by scrubbing the item gently against itself. Once you’ve done that, leave them in the sink for 20 minutes so that they can soak in the detergent.
Return to the sink and drain the dirty water. Pick up the leggings and rinse them with water—you want to get all of the detergents out. You may have to press out some of the soap; continue until the water is no longer cloudy. It’s super important that you don’t compromise the fabric by wringing it like a towel.
The final step is to line dry the yoga pants. Like we said in the previous section, you do not want to expose them to heat by placing them in the clothes dryer—nor do you want to hang them out in the sun.
Cleaning Stains Out Of Your Phisockat Leggings
Certain things can leave unsightly stains on your Phisockat yoga pants. Don’t worry, though—even if you get something on them, you can clean it off easily! Here’s how you can do that.
The first thing that you want to do is pre-soak the yoga pants. This prevents the stain from drying so that it’ll be easier to remove. For the best results, make sure that the stained area is completely submerged in water. If that’s not possible, blot it with water.
Create a paste by mixing ACTIVE detergent with a bit of warm water. Apply it onto the stain in a circular motion. Do not scrub as that can cause whatever’s on the fabric to spread further. Make sure to stay away from heat as that’ll only set in the stain.
Once you’ve rubbed the detergent onto the stain, let it sit for a few minutes. From there, you can rinse it off with plain water. Repeat the steps if the stain is not completely gone.
The Best Detergent to Use For Phisockat Yoga Pants
As it is, regular detergents won’t be enough to clean your yoga pants. You need something that’s formulated for synthetic fabrics—that way, you’ll be able to remove the sweat, dirt and oils that are embedded deep in the fibers.
Something like ACTIVE detergent. The name has probably given it away already but it’s engineered specifically for activewear. In other words, it’s one of the best if not the best thing to use for fabrics such as polyester, spandex, nylon, etc. Of course, that includes the leggings by Phisockat.
What makes it different from regular detergents? For starters, it contains enzymes aka small proteins that are capable of physically removing dirt and oils from the fibers. In fact, it contains not just one—but three types of enzymes.
Another great thing about ACTIVE detergent is that it does not contain any harmful chemicals. Check the ingredient list—everything that’s used is all-natural. That means that it’s also better for the skin and the environment.
